3D outcome developing/Workshop

On week 8 I attended a laser cut, 3d printing and plastic workshop. From the last conversation with the technicians, I found out that I could make embossers on my letters, that is why I have changed my design, to make it more suitable for laser cut. 

When I made the part, which had to be cut - black, and embossed part - red. 

Unfortunately, from the first time I failed. my design was not perfect, so some of the letters were cut out as well, as a result, I got half of the letters transparent. 

I used acrylic for my outcome. I got inspired by Stefan Sagmeister and his transparency in works. 

I decided to try again, so I checked and changes my design, I came the next day and cut out again.

Here is the process, there were a lot of small details which you have to be really gentle with. 

The white part is embossery. 

Here we go. This time I got perfect design and cut. 

The next step I was thinking what could I do ith the logo part.

I tried to cut it separately and used a embossery as well. Before this I made logotype rasterised. 

My plan is to glue the logo part to the middle. After to make 2 more copies of the same design. 

And make a stand for these, after I am planning to put the LED lights underneath so then I will flush.

In my next post I will show the stand for it and 3 ready parts. Also I will buy the LED light.
