Typography choice and background research (naming)

For my typography research I did a investigation, what was popular in 60s, but also can be used in 2024. As my project considers as Modern Retro, has a luxury and sophisticated vibe, made for millenial woman who has a strong nostalgia sense, I am willling to create a unique and exclusive font for my brand. 

The name for a brand is Cormano. I chose this name because it sounds sophisticated. Phoneticly it reminds a little bit of Armani, Paco Rabanne. 

I chose this name because millennials would chose a popular product. As Armani and Paco Rabanne are very famous and luxury brands, it will remind people about this. 

In addition, Cormano is a city in Italy which also has a vibe of fashion, as Italy.

If back to typoghaphy, 

Era of 60s was full of psychedelic designs, but also timeless decisions. Nowadays, many of artists choose bold and expressive typos to create new anf fresh design thatb gives a vide of that great decades. 
I was looking of fonts, which play a role on peoples' memory still and will bring a groovy and timeless touch to my work. 


The first font is Aprila. Very sophisticated, a bit playful but professional at the same time. This font is known for its psychedelic and hipppie motives.

The second font I would like to share is called Pure Psychedelia.

That typeface waa used by so many designers back in 60s. The vibe of this reinterpreted 60s font is so touchy. 
Pure psychedelia is a unique vibrant typography decision which make a big exclusive experience on my project. 

In order to find a typoghraphy which is free and looks like the fonts above, I discovered several fonts, which called, Gazela, Griaste and Grand.
