Developing ideas and skills

According to my artists' Research from the previous week, I decided to use a composition scheme as in Paul Seabass work examples. I will use a split-complementary colour scheme in my project (more in retro style). According to Trands 2024 nostalgia 60th-70th, surrealism and experimental typography and also vintage minimalism is becoming popular again. My idea is to make a Modern Retro. It is important to remember about the past, but also it is necessary to follow fashion and trends (Looka, 2023)

My target audience are millennials, 24-48 years old.

Also I want to use Earth-friendly colours, which will not cause carbon emmisions. In addition, we are in 2024 in era when AI starts in progress. I will try to use AI in my design.
The second but less important, I will use a handmade design which is also a 2024 trand. It means I will draw a design and then will can it and will see what we will have.

There some early sketches of logotype of  my work

To start with naming, I had 3 options, which I really like.
But later in I decided that POW - is too short and does not really have any common with nostalgia. KRANINCHI - sounds good but also, no nostalgia and too complicated. But the OPULUXE has got an element of nostalgia, the beginning of the word is OPU (which is really unique and was used for OPIUM perfumes etc). The second part is LUXE - which gave us luxury and posh recalls. OPULUXE is perfect for my brand, as it is unique, and vintage, gives us emotions from the past, very suitable to use for a parfume in my collection. Opuluxe also sounds similar to a part of the magic spell in Harry Potter (Oculus Reparo).

After the first session on the week 6 I have been asked a few people about naming, and a couple of them considered OPULUX with a washing powder or something not very luxurious.

After a while of thinking about a name, two ideas cameinto my head  ZYPHYR and CORMANO.

Starting from the strong letter and end with a strong letter. Having 2 Ys in name, its lot long, it is recognizible and it stands for luxury.

In my next post I will show the process of creating a logotype idea for this name.
